BRIAN ELWELL
Brian Elwell, born 1938, qualified with a Diploma in Fine Art, MA n Fine Art and Postgraduate Diploma in Printmaking.
The 'Urban Reflections' series is inspired by the rapidly changng urban landscpae of London and other cities. The intention is to convey teh sense of excitement engendered by conditions lf light, space, scale and reflection resulting from the changnig enviroment in London.
Integral to the meaning of the work are the many differenct processes used in creatingthe images. Some of the techniques involved include stencilling, printing, erasing and glazing in order to build a layered surface which encompasses both organic and geometrical elemtnts.
His work can be found in many notable corporate and private collections.
